Remembering Cherubs Wave of Light & Community Game Night

A Wave of Light is a global event that aims to unite communities across the globe through remembrance ceremonies held simultaneously at 7pm local time on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Remembering Cherubs, in partnership with Nie Family Funeral Home, will host parents and loss groups from around Southeast Michigan for a wave of light candle lighting ceremony honoring Michigan babies gone too soon.

The event will feature a full program elevated by the arts, with storytelling from local community theater, and a dance performance from Body Rhythm Dance Theater. In solidarity with ceremonies around the world, candles will be lit at 7pm, followed by a decompression session with GrieveWell Program Director Christy Miller. We invite you to stay after the ceremony to enjoy refreshments and a spirited game night among friends in the pregnancy and infant loss community. Kids are welcome!

During the ceremony, we honor the lives of little ones who left us too soon by lighting a candle and speaking their names aloud. Upon registration for the event, you will be provided space to share your baby's name and pronunciation for honorable mention. All registered guests in attendance will receive a special commemorative gift.
